Write about a time when you didn’t take action but wish you had. What would you do differently?
This prompt reminds me of, I shouldn’t have done that! Oops.
Better still…My daughter calls this, ‘if only I had liked Girl Scouts’.
Yes, at the next instance one may have buyer’s remorse; however, I look at where I am now. Would I be in the place I am now? It ain’t over until the fat lady sings, as I have always heard it. The road you should have taken, still may be just around the corner. As the Cheshire Cat said to Alice, ‘It doesn’t matter which direction you take, if you don’t know where you are going’.
Timing is everything in life. It casts us into positions of taking stock of where we are, asking for help, or an opportunity to seek God.
I’m glad that I had a recent oops moment. I would still be sitting on my duff. Instead, I’m now writing more. I’m more intentional. And I feel great about my future.
