Automobile

The most important invention in your lifetime is…

Walking or riding on an animal was the only way to get to and from. But one couldn’t travel that far unless they were in a wagon. But you weren’t very protected from the elements or animals.

Then came the train, now you are going somewhere. Toot toot!! But, still, one wasn’t able to travel alone. Nor could you go the route you wanted to—autonomy.

Once the automobile came on the scene complete freedom. Even women didn’t need permission or the presence of a man to get a license. I mean in the sixties and early seventies women needed a man to get credit cards and rent/own a place of their own. But if you were in a car, no one could tell you where or what to do if you were alone.

And you did have shelter from the elements and animals, unless it’s a moose.

No, you have the right of way.
