A Farmer’s Life

How do significant life events or the passage of time influence your perspective on life?

When you live in an instantaneous environment, your expectations are high. But I, like the farmer, am learning that isn’t real. A seed doesn’t transform itself in an instant, much less over night. I’m sure that many are lost, before those that take to the soil and root.

I’m currently reading this book on suffering and the author uses plants to help the reader understand how most of the time one needs to die to open up to the true possibilities of what is to come. Just like the Farmer has to surrender his crops to the environment and believe that he will reap a reward.

Those prizes that I’m seeking take time and sacrifice.

And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Galatians 6:9

Sometimes it takes the unusual, to make it grow.
