Are you having fun yet?

List five things you do for fun.

Knitting and crocheting— well that’s keeping my hands busy. So far this year, I’ve made 3 pairs of mittens, a lacy scarf (that I had to rip out several times because I wanted the pattern to be right), a poncho. And the month’s not over.

Playing games—board games and cards like Phase 10 or scrabble. I got to play scrabble just the other day with friends. I keep cards or dice in my car so if I go out to eat, we can play a game while we wait.

Watching movies or binging. I love to watch a series backwards. It’s great to see where technology has come from the 1st movie in the series to last one. Unless, they film all of the series at the same time, like in Back to the Future. Seriously, seeing the Mission Impossible from the recent movie to the first episode. You can see how young folks were, too.

Sledding or skating—though it has been a bit too cold to enjoy skating. But this past December, I was at the Quebec City Christmas market and one of their entertainment spots was the toboggan sled ride. It’s already very cold and you have to drag your toboggan up the stairs to the run. As you are flying down the run doing almost 40 mph and screaming your head off—Well it’s worth it!!

Reading and writing—nothing like making your older friends and family’s day by sending them a card or letter snail mail. I know I enjoy getting a card in the post.

Again, listening to a book series backwards is fun too! I used to listen to the Harry Potter series every summer. I haven’t done it in a few years because I can’t get the books through the library. They’re always out!

Have you noticed some folks still have their Christmas lights up? I love driving through different neighborhoods during dusk or twilight to look at the beauty of them.

Well, are you?!?
