Write about your first name: its meaning, significance, etymology, etc.
I gave a whole spiel on my name in another daily prompt. So I’ll talk about my daughter’s name.
When I first got pregnant with her, I knew I was going to have a girl. Her dad didn’t want anything to do with her and left. Well that meant I got to name her whatever I wanted—no debate about it. So I had decided her name was going to be Gabrielle. She was going to be that up until my 8 month, when someone said, oh you’ll call her Gabby. I was like, oh, No, (head shaking) We won’t!!
So now I was back to square one. A few weeks before she was born I had this dream that I was introducing her to someone. I told them her name was Sloane, you know like Ferris’ girlfriend.
It wasn’t until I really did introduce her to someone that I realized, I did the same thing my mom did, got her name from a movie. (Like she did with my name. Ferris Bueller)
Sloane is from Irish origin and means raider or warrior. She definitely lives up to that description.

Oh, she has a wonderful relationship with her Dad, he adores her.
