What makes a teacher great?

The one who engages your thoughts. You walk away deeply thinking about what you just heard. Is this a nugget I lockdown for future reference?

Here’s the rub, a great teacher can come from anywhere. The lecture hall doesn’t negate great teaching. One who never enters those halls can encounter and be engaged by a great teacher.
