What notable things happened today?
My first thought…random question again. I decided to see what Google has to say. And got a laugh.
On 13 June, 1920, the body officially banned the sending of children via parcel post – yes, living, breathing children. While parents choosing to mail their offspring didn’t become an epidemic in terms of numbers, there were enough instances to back up the prohibition of the somewhat bizarre use of the service.

Well I just had a flashback to 1971, of being driven to Popponesett Beach in this vehicle by my Great Aunt who owned a vast portion of it back then.
